Weight
Loss
If you're one of
those people who need to lose a few pounds or more than a
few pounds, ponder the following statistics:
1) In the U.S. alone, 58 million people are overweight, 40
million obese, and 3 million morbidly obese.
2) Eight out of 10 over the age of 25 is overweight.
3) 78% of Americans are not meeting the basic activity level
recommendations.
4) 25% of Americans are completely sedentary.
Other statistics include:
- 80% of Type II
diabetes is related to obesity.
- 70% of cardiovascular
disease is related to obesity.
- 42% of breast and
colon cancer diagnosed are among obese
individuals.
- 26% of obese people
have high blood pressure.
While you might get
depressed about the statistics, you can do something about
it. There is information about weight loss, proper
nutrition, exercise, etc. on the internet; all the basic
elements to get you down to your desire weight. I take
my cue from Men's Health magazine. I'm inspired by those who
have lost a dramatic amounts of weight. They've done it
because they felt weak and tired all the time and needed to
get back on track with their lives. You, too, can get back
on track.
Take that first step to better health! It will change your
life forever!
