Leadership
Good leaders are
MADE, NOT BORN! If you have the desire and willpower,
you can become an effective leader. Developing good,
effective leadership skills is a never-ending process. It
comes through during your research, education, training and
experience.
Leadership is a process by which a person influences others
to accomplish a task and directs them in a way that makes
them cohesive and coherent. Leaders apply their leadership
attributes such as beliefs, values, ethics, character, and
skill.
If you are a supervisor in your job, you know how difficult
it can be to lead your people. Just because you are the BOSS
is not enough. Leadership differs in that it makes the
followers WANT to achieve high goals, rather than simply
being bossed around!
