Inspection
Whether buying a
home or selling one, it is a good idea to have it inspected
by a certified Home Inspector. Large and costly problems may
be brought to your attention before you buy the home,
leaving you in a position to renegotiate the terms of the
sale or just walk away from the deal. You may prefer to have
the seller make repairs, or you may negotiate a price cut.
The choice is yours.
As a buyer, I would like to see that the home is
structurally sound, free of asbestos and other deficiencies.
As a seller, I would like to guarantee the buyer that my
home is sound, safe, and worth the price I'm
advertising.
Whether you have the home inspected is all up to you. Some
states require a home inspection prior to the sale of a
home.
