Elderly
Care
Are you caring
for your aging parent or caring for your aging spouse? It
takes a special kind of person to provide the kind of care
needed for the elderly. Just the thought of having your
spouse or loved one sent to a care facility because they can
no longer care for themselves is very stressful and
worrisome.
There are many services out there that can set you in the
right direction. Support groups like The Caretaker's Beacon
provide caregiving tips, and provide updates. There is The
Elder Care Forum, providing information on spousal care,
etc. The Caregiver Support Network is another source that
provide a comprehensive directory of elder care. The AARP
folks can also provide support and information.
As we get older, we need to better take care of ourselves.
Take steps to eat well, get enough rest and exercise and see
your physician on an annual basis. You'll be glad you
did!
